Julia Pott is a freelance illustrator and animator from London, she is totally rad!!

I'm not usually a huge "electronic music" fan but the combination of voguing, early 90s, and awesome sweaters coupled with this crystal castles song is amazingly rad.

more things i bought

I told you these self-indulgent posts would continue!
I tell myself that these are entirely practical things to buy, as they are shoes and everyone needs shoes. So without further ado, here are my newest purchases.

These clogs:

These oxfords:

I'm immensely pleased with both, though the oxfords have a bit of a slippery sole (something I read about quite a bit when it comes to oxfords). Such good spring/summer/fall/even winter (I am in LA, after all) shoes!

mungo jerry

Even though I am still in the midst of midterms and papers, I cannot stop listening to this song and dreaming about summer. I dedicate it to Steffi, who just finished school yesterday and deserves to celebrate! Only 4 more weeks for me...

Biked to Lemonade in Venice with Kevin yesterday to meet Michelle. Literally just tons of different kinds of lemonade (I got peach ginger), as well as really good sandwiches and salads. The nights are getting warmer here in LA, making it the perfect biking weather. The lack of cars in Venice is also quite nice, makes for a good change of pace.

Lately this is all I've felt like wearing.
There's something so comforting about having one solid look that you can always fall back on.

to keep up with my dog-theme, here's one of Poppie romping around the shores of Fort Funston, San Francisco.

it's always a little upsetting when i just now discover something so great that has been under my nose for the past 19 years. two wonderful bookstores: University Press Books on Bancroft & Dog Eared Books on Valencia will be further explored once summatime comes 'round.

recent purchases

This dress, to fill the void left by Miu Miu S/S 2010. Anna promises to make me a collar as well so pretty soon I will be the best-dressed Meow Miu knockoff girl around!

New book, with pictures instead of words! I have no time for real books it seems. Where are you summer??

A ukulele. Wesley says it is not too difficult to learn, and I can already read music so how hard can it be right? RIGHT???

I have been an extreme consumer lately so expect to see more of this in the near future. Ever since becoming a working woman my spending has increased dramatically, oh man.

i'm no bread-winner nor baker, but rachel is.

photo taken from last thursday's dinner.
